  4. What types of allergies do you treat?
    Asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, chronic urticaria and food allergy are the most commonly encountered problems in our office. Contct allergies are treated as well.

  5. How do you test for allergies?
    Scratch tests are used most often; for some conditions blood studies are needed.

  6. When will I find out to what I'm allergic after testing?
    If scratch tests are used, the results are available within a few minutes.

  7. How do you treat allergies?
    Avoidance of causative factors is not always possible or desired; in those cases, injection therapy is a more long lasting alternative to medications.

  8. How is asthma related to allergies?
    In children, allergies are the most common causes of asthma; in adults allergies are a factor less commonly. However, allergy treatment can significantly improve the quality of life.

  9. How do you treat asthma?
    Medications can significantly improve the quality of life; when appropriate, allergy injection therapy can change the future course of asthma.

  10. What insurance do you accept?
    We are contracted with all major providers. Please contact your insurer if you have any questions regarding coverage.
